Program Services

Physical Therapy

BHoH therapists assist children with special needs through physical therapy to help with motor skills and coordination. Therapies such as early stimulation and muscle strengthening help reduce pain, regain strength, and increase range of motion. Children have a variety of disabilities including cerebral palsy and hemiparesis (weakness on one side of the body).

Special Education/School Reinforcement

BHoH special education programs help children with social, learning, and communication challenges. The school reinforcement program is for children who cannot attend their study center regularly due to a variety of challenges.

Parent and Family Support

BHoH helps parents learn skills to care for their children with special needs. In addition, opportunities are provided for parents of children with disabilities to help each other in a supportive community. 

Basic Needs Support

BHoH assists families of the children in the program who are facing economic hardships by helping with food, medicine, and transportation.

Program Outcomes

  • Children with a wide range of mobility issues increase their physical abilities through therapy.

  • Children who had no access to formalized education are in school and are learning social and life skills as well as basic academics.

  • Parents and families understand the nature of their child’s disabilities.

  • Parents form a community of interests to support their children and each other.

  • Families have hope for their children in place of shame and guilt.
